What is UltraShape Power?
UltraShape Power is the first and only FDA-cleared, non-invasive body contouring procedure to use focused, pulsed ultrasound energy to permanently destroy fat cells. How does it work?
A handheld ultrasonic transducer is used to deliver controlled pulsed ultrasound at a precise depth within the fat layer. The technology only selects fat cells, while the surrounding structures such as blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue remain intact. During the UltraShape procedure, the fat cells are destroyed. The fat cell content, primarily comprised of triglycerides, is broken down and transported to the liver. The fat is then eliminated via the body’s natural mechanisms.
What can I expect?
After determining your goals and select the area to be treated, a customized treatment plan will be developed by you and our Medical Doctor. During the procedure, the technician will apply warm gel to the selected treatment area and deliver the pulsed ultrasound while you relax in our comfortable patient chair and catch up on your favorite TV show, play on your phone, or even take a nap! Patients usually report feeling light-to-moderate tingling or warmth in the treated area, but no discomfort.
After the Procedure
After the UltraShape procedure, released contents of the broken-down fat cells are naturally cleared by the body over a 2-4 week period. Circumference and fat thickness reduction is usually seen within the first 14 to 28 days after the treatment. Patients typically see an average of 4cm reduction in circumference to the treated area. Maximum results are seen about 28 days following your final treatment.
